BakuBuild breaks sales records
The international building exhibition BakuBuild 2012 has broken all previous records for exhibition space growth,
the event takes up residence in three pavilions and a corridor of the Baku Expo Centre as well as the open-air exhibition space adjacent to it. With two months still to go until the exhibition opens, Iteca Caspian has announced that over 85% of available exhibition space has already been sold. Over 300 companies have confirmed their participation to date representing 30 countries, with six of these - Germany, Iran, Italy, Finland, Portugal and newcomers Greece - exhibiting from national stands. Turkish firms are once again looking towards Azerbaijan’s market by booking a large amount of exhibition space, and participation from Chinese firms has considerably increased. As well as this, the year-on-year rise in domestic companies at the event is particularly encouraging, firms from Azerbaijan making up 35% of all exhibitors.
“A brief exhibitor survey has shown us that most stands at BakuBuild are poised to feature brand new developments and advanced production technologies for the region. It is nice to see that companies are timing these unveilings to coincide with the exhibition. We are certain that BakuBuild 2012 will be the most extensive building exhibition in the region, giving visitors a perfect opportunity to learn about innovations and expand their business horizons,” said Samira Teymurova, the sales director.
